Transparency Alliance: $80 million difference between the financial data of the Ministry of Oil and Development Fund, the UN
Baghdad, A member of the Alliance of the Extractive Industries Transparency Iraqi Akram Khuzaie for a difference between the financial data of the Ministry of Oil on the financial revenues from the export of oil and Data Development Fund for Iraq which is supervised by the United Nations.
The Alliance is a group of civil society organizations and media organizations, journalist and personalities from the media experts and aims to promote transparency and control over Iraq’s oil revenues
Khuzaie said Wednesday that “there is a difference between the financial data of the Ministry of Oil in the first transparency report and the statements of the Development Fund for Iraq, which is supervised by the United Nations, an estimated 80 million dollars.”
And added, “The government has so far failed to show the reasons for these differences or their interpretations and that the government is now published the second report of transparency, which will include the financial statements of Iraq’s exports and domestic consumption for the year 2010.”
He called Khuzaie “the government to explain and clarify the cause of the difference output.
