Baghdad Council Decides to Adopt a Mechanism Last Year in Dealing With the Owners of the Generators

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) – confirmed that the Energy Committee in the province of Baghdad approved a mechanism last year in dealing with the owners of generators civil and government from the first of June next after the approval of the Council of Ministers to provide the owners of generators with fuel free for four months.
The Cabinet decided on Monday to approve the civil provide owners of generators with free fuel and material according to the system in place two years ago during the summer.
Chairman of the Committee said Ghalib al-Zamili’s (IMN) “The Provincial Council will adopt the same mechanism which was adopted last year in his dealings with the owners of generators and civil government during the summer season after the approval of the government’s decision to provide free fuel generators share.”
Zamili explained that “sanctions and measures will depend themselves against the owners of generators covered by the share of free fuel,” pointing out that “the meeting will be held next week between the Baghdad Provincial Council and the Oil Ministry to discuss the decision to provide free fuel generators and mechanisms of its implementation.”
Zamili added that “about 10370 power generators registered with the Ministry of Oil in Baghdad, a pan covered with a share free fuel while still 500 electric generator is not registered and will not include free fuel ration.”
And ensure that the Council of Ministers approved to take charge of the Ministry of Oil to provide Gasoil for free to generators civil residential and quantity (30) liters per (KVA) per month for the period from June 1, 2013 until September 30, 2013 and the quantity (35) liters per (KVA) in next month of Ramadan with oblige owners of private generators all the processing power for a period of not less than (10) hours per day.
The Iraqi government has worked to equip owners of generators and civil government during the past two years and summer over four months and share free fuel to compensate for the lack of electric power.
Iraq suffers from a severe shortage in energy production compared to actual Balahtiaj which forced citizens using alternatives to the power generators.
