High Prices of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco by 0.4% During May

BAGHDAD / JD / .. Announced that the Ministry of Planning for the high prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco in the month last May rate of 0.4% compared to the previous month.,
The ministry said in a statement received / JD / copy of it: The price of alcoholic beverages and tobacco in Iraq has increased during the month last May rose by 0.4% MoM Previously, due to higher prices in the South by 1.2%, while settled in the central region and decreased in the Kurdistan region by 0.1%.
The prices of this section increased by 1.6% compared to prices in the month of May 2011. The statement added that the price of department of food and non-alcoholic beverages recorded a decline during the month of May 2012 rate of 3.6% compared to the previous month, due to lower their prices in the region of Kurdistan, the rate of 2.5% in the central region rate of 2.9% in the South by 5.9%, the main reason for the low prices of this section at the level of Iraq, mainly due to lower prices of vegetables. The prices of this section increased by 9.1% compared to prices in May 2011.
