Housing Complex Cornerstone Laid in North Wassit

WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi minister of reconstruction and housing laid down the cornerstone for a housing complex north of the province with a total cost of 70 billion dinars.
Assistant governor for technical affairs Sabeeh Lafta told Aswat al-Iraq that the complex shall be erected in Suwaira area, 135 km north of Kut.
He added that the project is being implemented by a local construction company for a period not exceeding 28 months, in order to solve the housing crisis in the province.
The project shall constitute 640 housing units.
Kut, the center of Wassit province, lies 180 km southeast of the capital, Baghdad.
