BAGHDAD: Cabinet announced the allocation of 10 billion Iraqi dinars to support the activities of prevention and control of polio.
The council said in a statement received / JD / copy of it: that the Council of Ministers and approved by the Ministry of Finance to allocate the amount of 10 billion Iraqi dinars, only ten billion dinars as quickly as possible to the Ministry of Health in order to support the activities of prevention and control of polio.
He explained: that the amounts will be spent from the emergency reserve allocations for the financial year 2014 / advance.
The World Health Organization has warned that the activity of the wild polio virus in Iraq and the world.
A statement by the UN News Centre that the World Health Organization has warned of a return to the spread of the polio virus in the country which had been free of it, warning that if it is not confined to expeditiously through a coordinated international response, the disease that can be prevented could spread again.
The Emergency Committee identified in the World Health Organization in Geneva, which activates the countries where the wild polio virus, but it did not spread to neighboring countries. These include Group (Afghanistan, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Iraq, Israel, Somalia and Nigeria).
