Iraq Imports a Day (11) Million Liters of Gasoline and the Need to Build Four Refineries to Meet Local Needs

Called the decision of the Oil and Energy Committee MP / coalition of Kurdish blocs / Qasim Muhammad Qasim, the need to encourage investment to set up four refineries oil to meet the local need of fuel. Kassem said in a press statement: that Iraq imported daily limits (8 to 11) million liters of gasoline except oil derivatives.
Other imported by كزيت gas and dry gas used for power generation due to lack of Iraqi refineries. Said: that the oil ministry has a plan to set up four refineries oil, but so far to no serious inception, calling on the ministry to put the factors encouraging attractive to investment companies for the purpose of establishment of such refineries.
Said: that in the event of the establishment of those refineries will take time for the stages of design and construction up to (5-7) years to complete, stressing that when implemented will be able to fill the need for local and export the surplus from abroad.
This was announced that the Ministry of Oil in the earlier its intention to set up five refineries distributed in the provinces of Mosul, Karbala, Maysan, Nasiriyah and Kirkuk.
