Maliki: Open Branch President for Standard Chartered Bank in Baghdad Message That Iraq Is Not Isolated From the World

Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki opened the branch president for Standard Chartered Bank in Baghdad, “a message that Iraq is not isolated from the world.”
He said in a speech during the opening of the branch “We stand today in front of a turning point in the economic field through the entry of international banks in Iraq, and we have a desire to advance the process of construction and reconstruction that require banking operations successful.”
“The entry of international banks sends a message that Iraq is not isolated from the world, and represents an important step towards strengthening the interaction between international banks and Iraq.”
He expressed delight that have such a bank partner for Iraq, calling for “national banking institutions to benefit from the advanced experiences that can be provided by the bank and its branches, which will open later in Basra and Erbil.”
