Start Flights Between Erbil and Gaziantep

Erbil, (Rn) – Turkish media sources announcement said it launched its flights between Gaziantep, Turkey and the Kurdish regional capital of Arbil.
According to the site, said the President of the Chamber of Commerce in the Turkish city of Gaziantep Mehmet Aslan, said that the start of flights between the cities of Gaziantep in southern Turkey and Erbil will impact positively on trade relations between the two sides.
In a statement made by Aslan told the Anatolia news agency, Turkish semi-official, said that “the efforts of officials on the verge of completion to start flights between Gaziantep and Erbil, as announced by the Minister of the Turkish economy Zafar Jaglayan.
The head of the Chamber of Industry of Gaziantep just Konuk Ihsanoglu said that the start of flights between Erbil and Gaziantep is an important issue for the entire region. He added that 40% of the city of Gaziantep’s exports go to Iraq.
It should be noted that the Minister of the Turkish economy Jaglayan Zafar had declared during his return from his visit to Libya he met with Iraqi Minister of Transport to discuss the start of flights between two cities, and Iraqi officials met with Turkish request, all welcome.
The Jaglayan who visited the Kurdistan region of Iraq said last week that Iraq is now the second largest export market after Germany, Turkey, and commercial exchange between the two countries amounted to about $ 12 billion in 2011.
